Our studio is situated in a river-front building in the heart of the Historic Dockyard in Chatham, Kent, UK. We are growing fast, developing our games using cutting-edge technology and delivering these on multiple platforms: PC, PlayStation 4 and 5 and Xbox One and Series S/X.


We are looking to recruit a UI Artist to help shape the user interfaces within our Unreal Engine simulations. You will work closely with UI Engineers to create the design, creation and implementation of game menu systems and related overlays for in-game features. The successful candidate will be experienced working in a user interface design position in the video games or interactive website creative industries, with good technical abilities, knowledge of the Unreal editor and excellent attention to detail.


Job requirements

Main Responsibilities

  • Creating a visualization of screens within a prototype framework
  • Identifying design problems and devise solutions
  • Presenting ideas and designs to various stakeholders and incorporate feedback into your designs
  • Work closely with the UX designer and incorporate user accessibility into your designs
  • Work closely with the UI engineers providing art assets where required and running visual design reviews with them
  • Iterate upon design implementations to ensure the most intuitive experience is presented to the player
  • Assist the team in the creation and maintenance of UI design libraries
  • Collaborate with Producers and UI engineers to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and experience
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards
  • Design and maintain high fidelity assets for final design versions which will be used and seen by the consumer
  • Implement UI assets into the Unreal Editor

Person Specifications


  • At least 3 years of experience as a UI Artist
  • Excellent and proven graphic and information design background
  • Understanding in User Experience (UX)
  • Good knowledge of technical limitations
  • Proficient with Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc)
  • Proficient with Figma
  • Experience in design / prototyping of motion graphics beneficial (After Effects, Animate CC, etc)
  • Strong Usability Design experience
  • Knowledge and practical use of UE 4 & 5 Blueprints is desirable
  • Experience of working in the games industry beneficial
  • Must be a creative and practical problem solver
  • Must be resourceful, self-motivated, and organised
