Our CSR Commitment

Giving back matters to us at Dovetail Games.

We are committed to improving our carbon footprint - we watch our power, recycle and reuse items, all of which help us to play our part.  We are currently working with specialists to accurately quantify our environmental footprint as a business and to assess the best options to further reduce our impact on the environment.  With so many of our teams now working from home, we are already reducing our carbon footprint. We encourage car sharing for office visits, eco-friendly merch, and small changes our teams can make to improve their individual (and collective!) carbon footprint. Staff benefits include access to bicycles that can be purchased through our Edenred portal, and an electric car scheme with Tusker.

As a company we are well on the way to becoming completely paperless.  We use the digital e-signature tool DocuSign which stops staff having to print and scan documentation. Charity is a big ethos within Dovetail, with a CSR working group who aim to provide opportunities for us to raise money and give back to causes close to our heart.

This year we are proudly raising money for our two charities of the year chosen by our people, SpecialEffect (who support accessibility within games for those with physical disabilities) & Macmillan, and we have so far raised over £30,000 for both charities (and counting!).

Our Talent Acquisition Manager continues to work with local communities, schools and colleges to inspire a future into games, attending talks and careers fairs. We have a strong ethos of supporting our local community - whether that be food bank donations, STEM support for young people, or running work experience programmes for children who want a career in games.

We are so proud to have raised this amount over the last year for our partner charities, SpecialEffect & Macmillan for 2023!
