Our studio is situated in a river-front building in the heart of the Historic Dockyard in Chatham, Kent, UK. We are growing fast, developing our games using cutting-edge technology and delivering these on multiple platforms: PC, PlayStation 4 and 5 and Xbox One and Series S/X
We are looking for an experienced Character Artist to join the team and help bring life to our game worlds. You will work with the team to create high quality game characters for our projects. You should have a strong portfolio of quality realistic character artwork with a good understanding of asset creation for games.
You must have had a least 3 years professional experience working as a Character Artist within the games industry.

Job requirements
Main Responsibilities
Creation of high-quality human and non-human characters using Maya, ZBrush, Marvelous Designer and Substance.
Create and maintain Unreal Engine character assets and content using in-house development tools.
Working as part of a team to resolve character design and gameplay issues as they emerge.
Co-ordinate with the Lead Artists and Art Producers to create realistic task estimates and timescales.
Ensure characters are optimized for real-time performance while maintaining artistic integrity.
Critically review artwork produced for the product at each stage of development.
Create briefs and feedback on outsource assets.
Maintain and update the character rig when required.
Maintain and update documentation on the Character Art pipeline.
Person Specifications
A good understanding of topology to ensure the best deformation.
Understanding of human/creature anatomy, form, and silhouette
The ability to rig and skin a character
Experience with Mutable or other character customisation systems
Can implement their own work into Unreal
Experience with character creation systems like Metahuman or Character Creator
Create performant and optimised assets while maintaining quality
An open attitude to critical feedback and maintaining the art direction
Good time management skills and ability to organise your current workload
Must be self-motivated, pro-active, a good communicator and have a positive attitude
A passion for games and an excellent understanding of the character creation pipeline.
